I am saddened that Covid has caused the cancellation of classes, seminars and performances, since 2020. I know that some dance instructors are offering in-person classes, though I do not feel safe in doing so. First, studios are rather closed environments, without adequate ventilation to suit me. Second, social distancing doesn't work in dance. Third, wearing a mask during strenuous exercise isn't easy, nor does it help with communication. Though triple vaccinated, this virus is tricky. I don't wish to spread illness or get it. I prefer to instruct in person, rather than on-line. The personal interaction is what makes this dance fun. This is a personal decision.

Belly Dance Journalist ...
I am a multi-published writer and author who wrote about Middle Eastern belly dance culture, events, profiles, reviews, etc. for dance and other publications. I was the Northeast Ohio and a National Belly Dance Examiner with the web magazine, www.Examiner.com  since 2009, until it recently shut down in order to focus on other corporate entities. I thank them for a fun run! I was also a contributor to Bellydance Superstars Magazine.
